2. Information that you provide to us for the purpose of registering for the Facebook group, or inquiring with us, such as name, job title, personal preferences, interests and contact information;

What we do with the information we gather.
Any information gathered is used for the purposes of understanding your needs and to enable us to provide you with a quality service, it will also be used for the following purposes:
- Internal record keeping;

3. Keeping you informed of our new products, new availability, activities etc.;
4. Market research purposes, in order to improve our service to you;
5. Security – passwords and password photos.
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure, and the appropriate measures are in place to safeguard and secure the information that we collect.
How we use cookies
A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer’s hard drive.
If you use our website to make contact via email you will have to agree to the use of these cookies, this is totally normal, the file is added and the cookie helps analyse web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site.

Little Sprouts day nursery ‘Closed’ Facebook Group.
The closed Facebook group is an invitation only group for our nursery only. Our manager can grant you permission to join the group at your request. Access to the group must be agreed in writing.
Controlling your personal information
At any time, you can choose to restrict the collection or use of your personal information by writing to Adrian or Stephen Hughes at Little Sprouts day nursery, 12 London road, Neath SA11 1HB. Or by emailing Littlesproutsneath@googlemail.com
We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties. We will only share information to an authorised third party if required too by law i.e. for safeguarding issues. Your attention is drawn to this and other requests for permission at the point of registration.
You may request details of personal information which we hold about you under the GDPR 2018. If you would like a copy of the information held on you please email us at the above address.
If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please write to or email us as soon as possible, at the above address. We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.
We reserve the right to change these policies at any time. If we do, then we will inform you that the policies have been updated.
You have the right not to accept them.
Retention periods for the information we hold on you.
- All general information we hold on you and your children will be held in our secure records for a minimum of 3 years after your child has left our setting.
- All information relating to accidents, incidents or concerns about a child (e.g. Social Services referrals etc.) must be kept for a minimum of 21 years.
After these periods have elapsed we will destroy this data in a responsible and secure way.
Employment details.
- All employment records, name, address, NI number etc. will be kept for a minimum of 7 years after employment ceases.
- All information we give to our accountant/payroll dept. in order to process staff pay is also kept safe and secure as they also comply with GDPR regulations.
- Any disciplinary, file notes or accidents information will be kept for a minimum of 21 years after your employment has ceased.
After these periods have elapsed we will destroy this data in a responsible and secure way.
